...a lonely ghost uttering a truth that nobody would ever hear.

You shall never know me because I have yet to truly discover myself. I hide in anonymity. I prevail in stealth.

You know when you were a kid and adults used to ask you what grade you were in and what kinds of things you were learning? Yeah, me too.

What I don’t understand is why they still try to do the same thing when you are in your twenties and are no longer in a “number grade.”

Adult: Hey you, what are you taking in school these days?

Me: Well, adult who doesn’t recognize that I am an adult as well, I’m taking some really interesting classes. Let’s see…for one I’m researching the Progressive Era. My main emphasis is actually having to do with the advent of the First World War and how the expansion of progressivism that took place between 1895 and 1910, in particular, had a profound impact not only domestically but internationally, too. You see, I’m trying to figure out if this would be a good topic to present for my master’s thesis and I’m…

Adult: Oh! Wow. Well, sounds like fun. Bye.

Me: Goddamn you.
